Protecting Our Packages During Shipping

About a year ago, we realized that we had a lot of customer complaints tied to our shipping procedures. We had people tell us that their products were damaged upon arrival and that we needed to work on handling items more carefully. To figure out what was going on, I spent a few days evaluating our shipping procedures. I found several deficiencies, which I addressed right away. I want other business owners to understand the importance of careful shipping, which is why I made this website. Read here to learn more about shipping, packaging, and making sure that your customers are happy.

How To Create Packaging That Stands Out

It used to be that brick-and-mortar stores were the only way to go, but now there are many stores that run strictly online. If you are running an online store, then you know just how important it is to make a good impression with every shipment. For instance, if you get shipments wrong, customers are less likely to continue shopping with you. On the other hand, if you not only get packages right but they are also delivered in cute packaging, you are more likely to make a positive impression on them. So, how can you create packaging that stands out? This article will take a closer look at a few different things that you can do to improve the appeal of your packaging.

Wrap Your Items

Whether you are selling clothing, shoes, household goods, or electronic gadgets, wrapping your items in some sort of tissue paper is a great way to make a positive impression. When every item that you send out is hand wrapped, it gives customers that "personal touch" that they aren't used to getting when they typically shop online. Although wrapping each item individually will take more time and more manpower, it may also help you establish your brand as one that cares. In addition to wrapping almost everything in tissue paper, put a sticker with your company's name and logo on top of it; this will act as your "signature" and will remind people to continue shopping from you.

Get Custom Boxes

Box packaging is the way to go when you are shipping things. Boxes are stronger than other types of packaging and tend to keep things looking better for longer. Rather than just using a box that you get from a mail store, try having some custom packaging made for you. Custom box packaging can include boxes that are of almost any size and you can have your logo put on them as well. When you are having custom boxes made, make sure that you consider what things you send the most of. For instance, if you send out glass bottles regularly, then you will want to have custom boxes made that will shield and protect these bottles during every shipment that you send out.

Stepping up your packaging game is a great way for you to establish a brand and encourage others to shop from you over and over again. Keep these things in mind for the future.
